I- The Visa applications (General Instructions):
- The visa application must be introduced by the applicants themselves physically at the Embassy, without any intermediary.
- The Visa applications submission: from Monday to Friday (10am to 12pm).
- Visa collection: from Monday to Friday at 3:45 pm to 4:45pm.
- The processing will take seven (07) working days.
- Any inquiries in this regard, can be considered by Ambassador only. The applicants may send their requests in this regard to the following Email ID: [email protected]
I- Warning from fake Visa:
- The Embassy brought to the attention that it has not designated any intermediary (agencies or agents) to process visas. Visa applications must be introduced by applicants themselves physically at the Embassy. Applicants are warned that recourse to a third party (agencies or agents), other than the Embassy, will expose themselves to fraud with legal consequences.
III- Required documents by Visa categories:
1. Business Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Original invitation letter from Algerian company which should be submitted in hard copy, attested by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce.
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservation and copy of airfare ticket showing dates of entry and exit.
- Copy of valid travel insurance.
- Letter of responsibility typewritten on the company letterhead is required and must be addressed to: Embassy of Algeria, Visa Section, 2/2, Shanti Niketan, New Delhi, 110021, India.
- The letter must explain all of the following:
- Nature of business to be performed;
- Name and address of reference to be visited in Algeria;
- The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
2. Tourist Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservation and copy of airfare ticket showing dates of entry and exit.
- Copy of valid travel insurance.
- Guarantee of sufficient funds for the visit (bank statement of six (06) months).
3. Work Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Original employment contract signed by the employer in Algeria.
- Attestation of repatriation signed by the employer and attested by the labour office of the wilaya where the applicant will be working there.
- Temporary work permit delivered by the Ministry of Labour, Department of Labour of the wilaya where the employer is based.
4. Temporary Work Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Employment contract which does not exceed 90 days, signed by the employer in Algeria.
- Attestation of repatriation signed by the employer and attested by the Labour office of the wilaya where the applicant will be working.
- Temporary work permit delivered by the Ministry of Labour, Department of Labour of the wilaya where the employer is based.
5. Family Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservation and copy of airfare ticket showing dates of entry and exit.
- Copy of valid travel insurance.
- If the Algerian spouse is not registered at the Embassy, a document attesting the relationship is required (such as a copy of the marriage certificate).
- If the applicant is the family of an Indian employee working in Algeria, copy of family register, work permit and valid residence certificate are required.
- Accommodation certificate duly attested by the local Algerian authorities.
6. Cultural Visa:
- Original Passport with a validity at least six (06) months.
- Two (02) copies of Visa Application Forms, dully and fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature is required on each page.
- Two (02) recent passport size photographs.
- Invitation letter from the organizer.
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservation and copy of airfare ticket showing dates of entry and exit.
- Copy of valid travel insurance.
- Guarantee of sufficient funds for the visit (bank statement of six (06) months).
7. Press visa:
- Original Indian Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- Two copies of the Visa Application Forms, fully completed, typed online, and signed. Original signature required on each page.
- Two recent passport size photographs.
- Original assignment letter from the employer.
- Copy of press card (ID which shows that the applicant is engaged in press activity.)
- When applicable, an invitation letter from the Algerian partner;
- Itinerary details including approximate dates, appointments, interviews, and cities to visit.
- List of technical and audio-visual equipment taken by the reporter;
VI- Visa fees:
- The visa fees are fixed on reciprocal basis as follows:
1. Indian citizens:
- Single Entry for 30 days = 8100 Rs.
- Visa for all categories for 90 days = 9700 Rs.
2. Nepalese citizens:
- Visa for all categories = 3200 Rs.
3. Sri Lankan citizens:
- Tourist visa for 30 days = 2400 Rs.
- Visa for all categories for 90 days with multiple entries = 4800 Rs.
4. Maldivian citizens:
- Visa for all categories for 90 days = gratis.
- All other nationals must check with the Visa Section for the applicable requirements and fees.
The visa fees must be paid in rupees only, by Bank Drafts payable to the Embassy of Algeria in New Delhi.
