President of the Republic calls to halt human tragedy suffered by Palestinian people

BANJUL-The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Saturday in Banjul (Gambia) that Algeria, which would continue to carry the concerns of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and defend its central cause within the Security Council, reiterated its appeal to the international community and all freedom-loving souls and living consciences throughout the world to assume their responsibilities by putting an end to the human tragedy suffered by the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui at the 15th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the President of the Republic affirmed that “what the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, have been subjected to by the Israeli occupation for over six months is a genocidal war.”

“In the face of these crimes, international organizations and institutions are politically incapable of applying the resolutions of international law, notably the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, even though they have always prided themselves on their commitment to peace and the dialogue of civilizations between nations.”

“In Palestine, every shred of humanity and civilization has been lost. There is no law, principle, value or morality,” deplored President Tebboune.
